Our Story...

Opened in 2018, Sister Margaret's was created with the goal of making a safe, inviting barbers where everyone is welcome. A cosy green space to get your hair grooming needs tended to, by knowledgeable, experienced staff.

We use quality, vegan friendly products, where possible made from sustainable and fair trade ingredients, in recycled/recyclable packaging. At Sister Margaret's the price-list is fair and gender-neutral. Every guest is equal and valued.

Danie California, store owner and master barber created and renovated the space herself, with every aspect reflecting her core values as an extension of her home.

Dani is lovely, and does a very good haircut! It's been a few weeks since I got my hair trimmed and it's sitting so much nicer than it was before, and she also gave me tips on how to maintain it which have worked really well. The salon is stunning too, such gorgeous vibe to the place. Highly recommend !

Danie helped me recover from a pretty gnarly haircut, and for that I'm eternally grateful. I walk past 6 haircutters on the way to the local pub, but I still go on a waiting list and drive out to Yarraville to see her whenever I need my hair did.

If she wasn't so deservedly busy, I'd probably rock up all the time to have a millimetre cut off just to have a chat with her!
